In 2008 I established my new home in Playas del Coco in Guanacaste Province, and this is also where I decided to make the home base for my new touring company. With my tour company, I feel very lucky because of the enjoyment I get from meeting all the different people who come here from all over the world..

I love learning about them, and their families and enjoy learning some of their cultures while sharing my knowledge of beautiful Costa Rica. I also love to showcase for my guests the abundance of nature with all the different species of plants and animals that are on display in this beautiful place I am so lucky to call home.

The opportunity to share this knowledge with my clients is one of the most satisfying aspects of my profession.

My country has many, many beautiful places to discover and share with my new friends on our tours. Costa Rica has over 600 gorgeous beaches surrounded by beautifully lush, forested mountains and volcanos that are full of abundant tropical plants and wildlife.

We are geographically a small country, but we have the highest bio-diversity density of all the countries in the world. While it covers only a third of the percentage of the earth’s mass, Costa Rica contains four percent of the species that are estimated to exist on the planet.

All Lugo Tours vehicles are safe, clean, and well-maintained. They are a late model and are fully licensed and insured. Our vehicles are all equipped with air conditioning and include comfortable seating.

We always include cold bottled water for the guests, and we utilize English/Spanish-speaking guides for our excursions. My tours travel all over Costa Rica but our base of operations is in the Guanacaste region near the Daniel Oduber international airport in Liberia. We also provide services to/from the Juan Santamaria international airport in San José Province. On my days off I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my daughters and family.

I can never get enough hiking together in the mountains and volcanos of Costa Rica with friends and family. I pride myself on my dedication to my clients and being someone, my clients can trust and depend on.

In doing so, my business growth over the years has come mostly from word-of-mouth referrals from existing clients. I strive to show compassion and patience while being flexible enough to custom-fit the tours for every guest. It is essential to be intuitive to folks’ needs for a memorable tour experience.

I want guests to relax, have fun, and enjoy camaraderie. Whenever possible, I like to add a little surprise side trip into my tours to show a bit of the “off the trail” Costa Rican culture or some unique local flavor.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing some Costa Rican hospitality.
